- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and business name when you create an account.
- Business Data: Customer records, property information, schedules, invoices, estimates, and other business-related data you enter into the Service.
- Location Data: With your permission, we may collect GPS location data to enable crew tracking, route optimization, and property mapping features.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and time spent.
- Photos: With your permission, photos taken through the app for before/after documentation of service visits.
- Phone Numbers: Phone numbers provided by you or your customers for the purpose of sending service-related text messages (SMS), including appointment confirmations, crew arrival notifications, service completion alerts, phone verification codes, and customer portal access links.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To process transactions and send related information
- To send notifications, updates, and marketing communications
- To provide customer support
- To monitor and analyze usage trends
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
- To generate AI-powered features such as property measurements and social media content
4. SMS/Text Messaging
MowBoss uses SMS text messaging to deliver service-related notifications to customers of lawn care businesses using our platform. By explicitly checking the SMS consent checkbox when your phone number is collected, you consent to receive text messages related to scheduled services, crew arrival notifications, service completion updates, phone verification codes, customer portal access links, review requests, and promotional messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase or service.
After opting in, you will receive a confirmation SMS acknowledging your consent.
- Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your service schedule, typically 1–10 messages per week.
- Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
- Opt-Out: You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS notifications from MowBoss.
- Help: For help with SMS messaging, reply HELP to any message or contact us at support@mowboss.app.
- No Sharing of Opt-In Data: All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
- SMS Service Providers: We use Twilio as our SMS service provider to deliver text messages. Phone numbers are shared with Twilio solely for the purpose of delivering messages on our behalf.

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service Providers: Third-party companies that help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing, mapping services).

- Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encrypted data at rest, secure authentication with hashed passwords, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
